Years marked by brain fog, which turned driving and working into insurmountable tasks. Stairs felt like a mountain climb. My world was confined to my home, with brief escapes to the doctor's office or pharmacy.

Before falling ill, I was a lot like you.

I was the mum who was always on the go, and a busy business owner, who loved a good challenge. My days were a flurry of tasks, to-dos, and the excitement of bringing ideas to life. And when I wasn't working, I was playing. You might have found me hiking volcanoes, zip lining, or even dancing on the jumbotron at Coco Bongo. My weekends were filled with snowboarding, motorcycle rides, and paddle boarding down rivers with my family and friends. Life was an adventure, and I was all in.

Life threw a curveball and suddenly, I was thrust into a battle with a mystery illness.

My days transformed from a whirlwind of activity to a marathon of doctor's appointments, prescriptions, and endless research. After three long years and a battery of "normal" tests, I finally had a name for my foe:

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)

I had a family doctor, Internal medicine specialist, rheumatologist, GI doctor, neurosurgeon, three different naturopathic doctors, physiotherapist, osteopath, Chinese medicine doctor, acupuncturist, massage therapist, counselor and an energy healer.

Graded Exercise Therapy? Been there- I went from Mild to Moderate ME/CFS.
